Biography:
Entered his first full professional season in 2009-10. From 2006-09, the left wing played in 188 games for Erie (OHL), scoring 42 goals and adding 30 assists for 72 points. The Ontario native racked up 407 penalty minutes in three seasons with the Otters. In 2008-09, Played in 63 games for the OHL’s Erie Otters, placing eighth in team scoring with 30 points. Gazdic finished seventh in goals for the Otters with 20, including a team-leading eight goals on the power play. The left wing’s 127 penalty minutes led Erie and placed him 21st overall in the OHL. Luke was named the Otters Most Determined Player and earned the Steve Nimigon Humanitarian Award at the team’s Summer Awards Banquet. The left wing turned pro after the Otters were eliminated from the playoffs and played two games with the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads. Gazdic scored his first pro goal and added 14 penalty minutes with Idaho.
