Biography:

Entered his second full professional season in 2009-10. Sawada spent most of his rookie season with the Manitoba Moose (AHL). Played five games in Dallas. Scored a goal in his NHL debut on Feb. 19 vs. Edmonton, becoming the sixth Dallas Star to do so, and the third in 2008-09.Played four years at Cornell University from 2004-2008. In 2007-08, Sawada finished fifth in team scoring with 26 points.
