Biography:
Entered his seventh full professional season in 2009-10. Last year, Fortunus played in 58 games for the Manitoba Moose of the AHL, scoring seven times and totaling 19 points. He also played in 22 Calder Cup Playoff games, scoring three goals and compiling ten points.From 2005-09, Fortunus skated in 271 games for the Manitoba Moose. In his four seasons with Manitoba, Fortunus scored 20 goals and added 53 assists for 73 points. He totaled a +29 and was only a minus once in four years with the Moose. The Quebec native played in 54 Calder Cup playoff games for Manitoba, totaling four goals and 16 points. He was previously a member of the Houston Aeros from 2003-05, playing in 25 games over two seasons. Fortunus managed two assists with Houston. The defenseman also played in 123 games for the ECHL’s Louisiana Ice Gators from 2003-05.
