Cedar Park, TX – The Texas Stars are looking to reward their biggest and most loyal fans for the remainder of the 2011-12 season by giving away a multitude of prizes, including the grand prize of a 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 Iron from Central Texas Harley Davidson, through the Texas Stars Frozen Finale program. Starting at the home game on March 7th, fans can pickup and register their Frozen Finale “Ice Time” card. By attending games and participating in other activities fans will accumulate “Ice Time” and earn prizes. In a first-of-its-kind program in professional sports, game attendance and other activities offers a level of connection and social media engagement never seen before using this technology.

“We’re thrilled to be offering this first-of-its-kind opportunity to the fans of the Texas Stars,” said Texas Stars President Rick McLaughlin. “It’s a great way to reward our loyal fans for their continued and overwhelming support of the Texas Stars and Cedar Park Center. With a variety of ways to earn points, and increasing incentives, we hope our fans will enjoy this program for the remainder of the season.”

Fans can register for the Frozen Finale from their home computer, or by attending a Texas Stars Hockey game. At the point of registration, the fan will receive a custom made souvenir “Ice Time” card, that will then activate the fan throughout the Frozen Finale program. The “Ice Time” card contains a chip that will associate that card with the fan’s Frozen Finale Dashboard. The dashboard is a compilation of all of the fans, activities (attending the games), awards, pictures, friends and user settings. When fans attend a Texas Stars game, the fan has the opportunity to be a part of the experience and win Ice Time, which will equate to fan prizes. Awards are various for participating in certain activities and collecting as many points as possible.

The “Ice Time” card is linked to each fan’s social media outlets, which allows fans to connect with other fans, as well as friends or followers on their social media networks. When fans attend a Texas Stars game, now they will have the ability to see what friends are at the game and observe their most recent achievements. All fan connectivity can be achieved through the fans mobile device.

The Stars have teamed up with Central Texas Harley Davidson to provide a 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 Iron to the fan who accumulates the most Ice Time in the 2012 Frozen Finale. Other awards and achievements will be awarded as the Frozen Finale besides the Harley. Visit the Frozen Finale page for more details.
