CEDAR PARK, TEXAS – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, will be hosting Stars & Stripes Military Appreciation Weekend presented by Sport Clips this Friday, November 9th and Saturday, November 10th at Cedar Park Center.

As part of the organization’s ongoing support of the current and former members of our armed forces, the Stars have teamed up with some of their fans and corporate partners to purchase approximately 1,500 tickets for the games this weekend. These tickets will be given to local soldiers, veterans and their families as one more way for the Texas Stars to show their appreciation for the all sacrifices these brave men and women have made for our country.

The festivities begin on Friday night as the Stars welcome the Toronto Marlies for a 7:30 p.m. face off. Texas will wear special Stars & Stripes jerseys for the weekend and they will auction off the game-worn jerseys. The silent auction runs from the beginning of Friday’s game through the end of the second intermission on Saturday night. The winner of each jersey auction will be escorted by team officials backstage where they will have their newly purchased game-worn jersey delivered by that Stars player. Friday is also a $3 Beer Night at the arena, where fans can purchase 12-ounce domestic beers from the concessions stands for just $3.

Saturday, November 10th is Stars & Stripes Hat giveaway night presented by Sport Clips as Texas squares off with the Lake Erie Monsters at 7:00 p.m. Saturday’s game is also a Family Four Pack Night, which includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for as little as $48. Members of the 752nd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company from Fort Hood will be on hand with an EOD display in the concourse and they will also participate in a protective bomb suit race on the ice during one of the intermissions.

Throughout the weekend fans can get a mystery puck at the Texas Stars Foundation table. For each $20 donation to the Foundation, fans will receive their choice of a Stars mystery puck. Each puck has been signed by one or more Texas Stars players and only after the puck has been selected and unwrapped will the mystery be revealed.
