Team’s Charitable Organization Enjoys Successful Third Year
CEDAR PARK, TX – The Texas Stars Foundation announced today that, through the support of the Texas Stars fans, they have set a new annual fundraising record by collecting more than $187,500 during the 2012-13 season. During the 2012-13 season the Foundation donated over $165,500 in cash and in-kind donations. Along with the donations already made, the organization is currently in the review process for the second annual Texas Stars Foundation Grant program.
Just over half of that total came from the three Foundation specialty jersey auctions, setting a new annual record by raising $98,599 for the Texas Stars Foundation. Additionally, the three annual Foundation events, Bowling with the Stars, Casino Night and the Foundation Golf Classic, continued to be both highly successful and immensely popular. Further details will be published in the Annual Report, which will be posted on the Texas Stars Foundation’s website later this summer.
“This has been a terrific year for the Foundation on multiple fronts and I would like to sincerely thank each and every individual who supported our cause” said Texas Stars president and Texas Stars Foundation chairman of the board Rick McLaughlin. “We have been able to increase our fundraising, which in turn has allowed us to continue to cultivate our charitable endeavors in Central Texas. We are anticipating growth in the second year of our grant program and our annual events have never been better, thanks in large part to the exceptional efforts by our Foundation director, Kristen Campomizzi.”
