Applications Being Accepted for Texas Stars Ice Patrol
CEDAR PARK, TX – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today the formation of the Texas Stars Ice Patrol, a new promotions team, for the start of the 2013-14 season.
The Texas Stars Ice Patrol will be a co-ed team responsible for entertaining and interacting with fans at Texas Stars games. Members of the team will also represent the Stars at events in the Central Texas community throughout the year.
The Ice Patrol replaces the Texas Stars Ice Girls dance team, which had been a part of the Texas Stars for the past four seasons. The Ice Patrol will perform many of the same duties as the former Ice Girls, but with an expanded involvement in the team’s game entertainment, which will allow for more interaction with fans.
“The new Ice Patrol team allows us to expand what we have done with the Ice Girls in the past,” said Rick McLaughlin, Texas Stars President and Cedar Park Center General Manager. “Opening the squad up to both men and women gives more people the opportunity to become a part of our entertainment team. Plus, the Ice Patrol will have the ability to be involved with many different aspects of our in-game experience, leading to more face time with our fans.”
The Texas Stars are now accepting applications to become a part of the Texas Stars Ice Patrol. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be available for all Texas Stars home games during the 2013-14 season. Skating ability is a plus.
