Texas Stars Announce 2011-12 Promotions Schedule
Preseason Game Tickets on Sale Now

Cedar Park, TX – The Texas Stars announced on Friday the 2011-12 promotions schedule. The team also announced that individual tickets for both preseason home games are now on sale.

The promotions schedule is filled with giveaways, popular fan specials and numerous theme nights. Fleece blankets, hats, drawstring backpacks, a set of collectible player magnets, player card sets, pucks and magnetic schedules are some of the giveaways to look forward to this season. Returning theme nights include Pink in the Rink, Military Appreciation Nights, Teddy Bear Toss, Sing for Santa and Pucks-N-Paws. The State Farm Family Four Pack, H-E-B Nights and “3-2-1” Nights also return for another season.

The Stars enter their third AHL season by hosting Opening Night on Sunday, October 9th, against Oklahoma City at 5:00 p.m.. Austin Telco Federal Credit Union and the Stars will hand out 2011-12 magnetic schedules. On October 20th, the Texas Stars, in partnership with H-E-B, will host their first ever Food Drive Game to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank.

In the first of three planned specialty jerseys and Texas Stars Foundation nights, Texas will partner with the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® for the second annual Pink in the Rink game on Saturday, October 22nd. As the presenting sponsor of the event, the Cedar Park Regional Medical Center will hand out Pink in the Rink Texas Stars drawstring backpacks to the first 2,500 fans. As a Foundation Night, $2 of every group and individual game ticket will benefit the Komen Austin Affiliate. October 22nd also marks the first of 15 Saturday home games and the season debut of the State Farm Family Four Pack.

The Texas Stars will host a pair of Military Appreciation Weekends this season, each featuring a specialty jersey. November 11th and 12th is Texas Stars & Stripes Weekend. On Friday, 2,500 collectible player magnets will be handed out, while on Saturday, 2,500 Stars & Stripes themed hats will be given out courtesy of Sport Clips. The team will wear a Stars & Stripes themed jersey all weekend with a silent auction beginning on Friday and concluding at the end of the second intermission on Saturday. Saturday also marks the second planned Foundation night to benefit an area non-profit and the Texas Stars Foundation.

Texas hosts its second Military Appreciation Weekend on March 9th and 10th as the Stars don camouflage jerseys for both games. The first 3,000 fans to the game will receive a Texas Stars Camouflage hat courtesy of United Heritage Credit Union on Saturday, March 10th. Saturday also marks the final scheduled Foundation night of the season.

Teddy Bear Toss returns for the third consecutive year on Saturday, November 19th. Fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to throw on the ice in support of local charities.

During “Sing for Santa – Carols and Choirs” weekend on December 9th and 10th, the Stars will hand out insulated lunch bags and knit caps. To celebrate the holidays, local choirs will perform holiday favorites during both games. To round out December, the first 3,500 fans on Saturday, December 17th, will receive the ever-popular fleece blanket.

To kick-off the New Year the Texas Stars are planning a post-game autograph session for all fans immediately following their game on Sunday, January 8th.

Two promotions return in April. Pucks-N-Paws night will be held on Sunday, April 1st at 5:00 p.m. The arena will provide special seating for all pets and the first 2,500 fans will be given a Texas Stars pet bandana. The Stars will conclude the regular season home schedule on Saturday, April 14th with Fan Appreciation Night.

Aside from giveaways, fans will once again see the popular State Farm Family Four Pack return for every Saturday home game. The Four Pack includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for $48. Also, H-E-B Nights return on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday home games throughout the season, featuring $5.00 off the ticket price for anyone who donates an H-E-B Store Brand non-perishable food item. “3-2-1 Nights” will be offered on Thursdays and Fridays this season. Fans may purchase $3.00 domestic drafts, $2.00 sodas and $1.00 hot dogs.

2011 Promo Schedule


Prior to the beginning of the regular season, Texas will play three preseason games starting on Friday, September 30th, at 7:30 p.m. with the San Antonio Rampage visiting the Cedar Park Center. The team will then visit the Rampage on Saturday, October 1st at 3:00 PM in San Antonio. The game will be played at the Ice Center at Northwoods in San Antonio. Texas will round out its preseason schedule by hosting the Houston Aeros at 5:00 p.m. at Cedar Park Center on Sunday, October 2nd. Tickets to both preseason games at the Cedar Park Center are now on sale. The Texas Stars will host Opening Night at Cedar Park Center on Sunday, October 9th. Tickets for Opening Night as well as all 38 home games will go on sale at a future date.
