Texas Hosts the Abbotsford Heat on Friday, November 11th at 7:00 P.M.

San Antonio, TX - The Texas Stars (6-5-0-0, 12 points) defeated the San Antonio Rampage (4-6-0-0, 8 points) 4-0 in front of 4,157 fans at the AT&T Center on Sunday night. Texas goalie Richard Bachman (5-3-0) stopped all 29 shots for his second shutout of the season. The win also marks Bachman’s ninth all-time shutout with the Stars. Texas right wing Tomas Vincour extended his scoring streak to five games in the victory. His seventh goal of the season also marked his sixth straight game with at least a point. Left wing Francis Wathier registered a goal and an assist, extending his points streak to five games. Center Travis Morin also scored for Texas, improving its road record to 3-3-0-0. Defenseman Maxime Fortunus added two assists on the night, as the team moved above .500 for the first time since October 9th. San Antonio goalie Brian Foster (3-4-0) stopped 29 of 33 in the loss. The Stars take on the Abbotsford Heat on Friday, November 11th at 7:00 P.M. at Cedar Park Center.

Texas grabbed an early 1-0 lead just 1:00 into the first period of play. Center Travis Morin knocked in a rebound with help from forwards Ray Sawada and Matt Fraser.

The Stars continued the scoring in the second period, taking a 2-0 lead at 12:25. Left wing Francis Wathier tipped in a shot by defenseman Brenden Dillon. Defenseman Maxime Fortunus also had an assist on Wathier’s fourth goal of the season, extending Wathier’s scoring streak to five games. Texas took a 3-0 lead with five seconds left in the middle frame. Right wing Tomas Vincour scored his seventh goal of the season, extending his goal-scoring streak to five games. Forwards Ryan Garbutt and Francis Wathier each added an assist at 19:55.

The Stars pushed their lead to 4-0 with a goal by left wing Luke Gazdic at 10:45 of the third period. Gazdic notched his fourth goal of the season with assists coming from right wing Colton Sceviour and Fortunus.

Texas returns home for Stars and Stripes Weekend on November 11th and 12th, presented by SportClips. The Military Appreciation themed weekend will feature specialty jerseys worn by Texas. The team will wear the red-white-blue colored jerseys for both games over the weekend. A silent auction will be held on the concourse of the Cedar Park Center for fans to purchase the game-worn jerseys. The silent auction will begin on Friday and ends after the second intermission on Saturday, November 12th.

On Friday, November 11th, the Stars host Abbotsford at 7:00 P.M The first 2,500 fans will receive a Texas Stars player magnet (Travis Morin). Friday is also 3-2-1 night featuring $3 domestic drafts, $2 sodas and $1 hot dogs.

On Saturday, November 12th, the Stars host Abbotsford at 6:00 P.M. The first 2,500 fans through the gate receive a Stars and Stripes Hat, compliments of SportClips. Saturday is also a State Farm Family Four Pack night (4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas starting at $48).
