Texas Travels to Houston on Friday, November 18th at 7:35 P.M.

San Antonio, TX - The Texas Stars (6-7-0-1, 13 points) were defeated by the San Antonio Rampage (5-8-0-0, 10 points) 3-2 in front of 5,735 fans at AT&T Center on Sunday night. Right wing Tomas Vincour had a goal and an assist, scoring in his fifth straight road game. Left wing Francis Wathier also notched a goal and an assist on the night, as the Stars fell to 3-4-0-0 on the road this season. San Antonio goalie Jacob Markstrom (1-2-0) stopped 28 of 30 shots in the win. Rampage centers Mark Cullen and Tim Kennedy each scored in the second period, while center Scott Timmins registered a third-period goal. Texas goalie Richard Bachman (5-4-1) stopped 25 of 28 shots faced. The Stars travel to Houston on Friday, November 18th at 7:35 P.M. to take on the Aeros.

The Stars started the scoring at 16:49 of the first period. Left wing Francis Wathier registered a power-play goal, giving Texas a 1-0 lead. Forward Tomas Vincour and defenseman Jordie Benn each assisted on Wathier’s fifth goal of the year.

San Antonio scored their first goal of the night at 14:26 of the second period. Center Tim Kennedy tucked one past Bachman for the 1-1 tie. Center Brian Sutherby and defenseman Colby Robak helped set up Kennedy’s first goal of the year. San Antonio struck again with a goal by center Mark Cullen at 18:40, to take a 2-1 lead. Right wing Bill Thomas and defenseman Roman Derlyuk each provided an assist on Cullen’s first goal of the season.

The Rampage jumped out to a 3-1 lead at 2:46 of the third period. Center Scott Timmins netted his third goal of the year with assists from forward David Marshall and defenseman Evan Oberg. The Stars dug into San Antonio’s lead, 3-2 at 7:46 with a power-play goal. Right wing Tomas Vincour put up his eighth goal of the season with help from Wathier and defenseman Colton Sceviour.

Texas will travel to Houston on Friday, November 18th for a 7:35 P.M. faceoff against the Aeros. The Stars return home on Saturday, November 19th to battle the Houston Aeros at Cedar Park Center at 7:00 P.M. Saturday is a State Farm Family Four Pack night (4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas starting at $48).Saturday also includes the third annual Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to throw on the ice in support of local charities.
