Off-Ice Official Recruiting
Off-Ice Official Recruiting
Celebrate your love of the sport of ice-hockey by becoming an off-ice official. Off-ice officials are behind the scenes and do not need to know how to skate well, but are still essential to the organized sport of ice-hockey. The Texas Stars are in need of volunteer Off-Ice Officials to work at Stars home games for the 2011-12 season. Off-Ice Officials may act as goal judges, man the penalty benches, manage the game or penalty time clocks, compile player/game statistics, or enter game statistics, via computer software.

Off-Ice Officials should have a good knowledge of the game of ice hockey, the ability to concentrate in a distracting environment, and a commitment to work most, if not all, of the home games during the regular season and playoffs.

Being a present or former hockey player and/or referee is a definite asset for potential Off-Ice Officials, but is not required.

If you are interested in becoming an Off Ice Official for the 2011-12 Texas Stars season and can commit to working the majority or all of the 38 regular season games, plus 2 preseason games and the playoffs, contact William Boll, Supervisor of Off Ice Officials, by emailing
