Jason Wallace Named Texas Stars Athletic Trainer

Former Trainer Amadio Joins Nashville Predators

CEDAR PARK, TX – Dallas Stars Director of Hockey Operations and Texas Stars General Manager Scott White announced today that Jason Wallace, ATC, MS, has been named the athletic trainer for the Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars.

Wallace spent the past three seasons as the athletic trainer for the Allen Americans, the Central Hockey League (CHL) affiliate of the Dallas and Texas Stars. He worked for the Flint Generals (IHL) from 2008-2010 and with the Huntsville Havoc (SPHL) and Tennessee Valley Vipers (AF2) from 2006-2008. Wallace has been a part of two championship teams in his career: Allen in 2013 and Tennessee Valley in 2008.

The Belleville, Mich., native is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) who earned both his bachelor and master’s degrees from Eastern Michigan University. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1997-2001 prior to attending college.

Wallace replaces DJ Amadio, ATC, CSCS, as the team’s athletic trainer. Amadio accepted a position with the Nashville Predators this summer after three seasons with Texas.

“The Stars organization congratulates DJ on a well-deserved opportunity and wishes him luck in the NHL,” said White. “He did a great job with our players, and we are confident that Jason will be able to step into his role.”
