Tyler Beskorowany Looks To Build On Solid First Professional Season

Goaltending prospect Tyler Beskorowany’s 2010-11 season didn’t go exactly as the Dallas Stars had planned, but it turned out to be a positive for the young netminder.

Beskorowany was expected to spend the season with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL, where he would get plenty of games under his belt in his first professional season. But an injury to Texas Stars starter Brent Krahn bumped Beskorowany up to the AHL, and he ended up getting some valuable experience.

“He handled it great,” Dallas Stars goaltending coach Mike Valley said of Beskorowany. “Every time he went in there he handled it really well. He had a couple games where he struggled but he bounced back strong all the time. We were extremely happy with the way he played in the American League. It bumped up his development a year. It was great.”
