Dallas Stars Reduce Training Camp Roster by Ten

Nine Players Headed to Cedar Park for Texas Stars Training Camp
 
CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has reduced its training camp roster by ten players, leaving the Stars' NHL training camp roster at 40 players.
 
Dallas assigned four players to Texas: forwards Curtis McKenzie and Taylor Peters and defensemen Ryan Button and Hubert Labrie. Additionally the Stars assigned center Radek Faksa to the Kitchener Rangers of the OHL.
 
Dallas also released five players from their training camp tryout contracts: forwards Justin Dowling, Mike Hedden, Brock Montgomery and Brendan Ranford and defenseman Etienne Boutet. All five players are under AHL contract with Texas for the 2013-14 season. Dowling and Hedden were in Dallas on professional tryouts, while Boutet, Montgomery and Ranford were on amateur tryouts.
 
Texas Stars training camp will begin when players report to Cedar Park Center on Tuesday, September 24th. The full Texas Stars training camp schedule will be released on Monday, September 23rd.
 
2013-14 Texas Stars Season Tickets and Individual Game Tickets are currently on sale.
