Rookie Left Wing Heads Back to NHL Stars
CEDAR PARK, TX – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has recalled left wing Reilly Smith from Texas. Smith was recalled on emergency conditions for Alex Chiasson and Lane MacDermid.
Smith, 22, has skated in 31 games for Dallas this season, earning seven points (3G-4A), including his first career NHL goal on Feb. 15 against Vancouver. The Toronto native has skated in 45 games for Texas this season, notching 35 points (14G-21A) and currently is tied for fourth on the club in overall scoring. Since being assigned to Texas on March 26, Smith has notched eight points (3G-5A) in seven games with the club. Smith was Dallas' third-round selection (69th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
The Dallas Stars take on the Vancouver Canucks this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. CT at American Airlines Center (TV: FOX Sports Southwest; Radio: 1310 The Ticket).
The Texas Stars will complete their five-game road trip tonight as they once again travel to San Antonio for a 7:00 p.m. showdown with the Rampage at AT&T Center.
