DALLAS STARS OPEN TRAINING CAMP THIS WEEKEND
18 Players from the 2009-10 Texas Stars Squad to Compete in NHL Camp


Cedar Park, TX – The Dallas Stars will open up its 2010 Training Camp this weekend in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada.

The Dallas Stars are holding their physicals and testing in Frisco on Friday, September 17, before departing for PEI. Dallas’ first practice in Charlottetown will be Saturday, September 18, with on-ice training sessions held at the MacLauchlan Arena at the CARI Complex, which features two sheets of NHL-regulation size ice. All practice sessions will be open to the public.

The team will skate for three days in Charlottetown (September 18-20), and will also hold an intersquad scrimmage on Sunday, September 19, at the Charlottetown Civic Centre.

The 2009-10 Texas Stars will be represented well in the NHL camp with 18 players from Texas’ inaugural season squad competing in Dallas’ camp. Forwards Jamie Benn, Aaron Gagnon, Luke Gazdic, Scott McCulloch, Travis Morin, Michael Neal, Greg Rallo, Raymond Sawada, Colton Sceviour, Mathieu Tousignant and Francis Wathier will all be in attendance. Defensemen Maxime Fortunus, Brad Lukowich, Trevor Ludwig, Guillaume Monast and Matt Stephenson will also suit up for Dallas this September. Goalies Brent Krahn and Richard Bachman will be skating with the NHL club in training camp.

The Dallas Stars will return home from PEI on the evening of September 20, in time to begin NHL pre-season play that next evening when the Tampa Bay Lightning come to American Airlines Center.

All practices at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco will be open to the public. The Stars will have an Open House at American Airlines Center on Saturday, September 25, with the morning practices open to the public from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.

The Dallas Stars’ 2010-11 regular season schedule will begin on October 8, at New Jersey.

Individual game tickets for Opening Weekend, October 16th and 17th, as well as both home preseason games on October 2nd and 3rd are on sale now. Tickets are available online at www.TexasStarsHockey.com or by calling 512.GO.STARS (467.8277). Individual game tickets for the remainder of the 2010-11 season will go on sale at a later date. The Stars are expected to announce a promotional schedule in the near future.

The Western Conference Champion Texas Stars will host their first regular season home game at Cedar Park Center on Saturday, October 16th. Season ticket packages to see the Stars play in their second season at the Cedar Park Center are on sale now.
