DALLAS STARS ASSIGN TOM WANDELL TO TEXAS FOR CONDITIONING
Texas Stars Host Oklahoma City on Saturday and Houston on Sunday

Cedar Park, TX – The Dallas Stars announced on Saturday that center Tom Wandell has been assigned for conditioning to the Texas Stars, Dallas’ AHL Affiliate. He is scheduled to play in Sunday’s preseason game at Cedar Park Center when Texas hosts the Houston Aeros (5:00 pm CT).

Wandell, 23, has not appeared in a Dallas Stars preseason game this year due to a shoulder injury. He appeared in 50 games for Dallas last season, scoring five goals and 10 assists for 15 points. Wandell’s season was cut shot with a torn ACL injury on Jan. 21 at Vancouver.

Wandell was Dallas’ fifth round selection (146th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Texas hosts a pair of preseason games this weekend at Cedar Park Center. Saturday, the Stars host the Oklahoma City Barons at 7:00 pm. On Sunday, Texas will host the Houston Aeros at 5:00 pm.

The Western Conference Champion Texas Stars will host their first regular season home game at Cedar Park Center on Saturday, October 16th.
